Erica Oram

Erica has taken a keen interest in photography since the late 1990’s, originally working exclusively in colour slides before moving into digital photography relatively late compared to many of her peers. Erica is a member of Sheffield Photographic Society and of Gamma Photoforum. She is an active camera club lecturer and PAGB judge and was delighted to be invited to become a member of the London Salon in 2019.

Erica’s photography is mostly based around street photography, landscape and details. Erica’s approach is generally spontaneous, aiming to make a personal interpretation of ‘whatever is in front of her’. She generally tries either to make an image which provokes a question, tells a story or creates a mood, or to make simple but unusual images which make the most of shapes, lines, colour and light.
