Eion with a background in Engineering and IT has pursued photography from childhood. He was a member of Edinburgh Photography Society for a few years in the early 1980s but only from the year 2010 developed a deep involvement in the art.
A particular achievement was the Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (awarded Fellowship of the year) in 2017. Being elected to Membership of the London Salon is a most humbling addition.
He is involved in the activities of Edinburgh Photography Society and the running of the Edinburgh International Exhibition.
His photography has developed increasingly to include mainly figurative work. This can result in Creative Photographic Art in single or multiple format. The works consisting of panels of photographs lean towards Contemporary Photography. Most of this work is based on Art Nude imagery.
