Clare Acford was born in 1964 and lives and works in leamington Spa as a videographer and editor.A member of the Royal Photographic Society she was awarded a Fellowship and recived the Bill Wisden award for her work in 2014.
There are influences of Francesca Woodman throughout her more recent works and she mainly concentrates on self-portraiture and environmental portraits. She has self-published through Blurb, several books the last one titled Scars of The Soul, these are mainly a collection of self-portraits which explore the mind behind the mask. Currently she is working on a new website.
